Julie Frischknecht Larsen, D.N.P. is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who graduated with a Doctor of Nursing degree from The University of Utah in 2012 with Sigma Theta Tau Honors.  Prior to that she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Weber State University in 2007, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Academic High Honors. She was also a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and was recognized in 2018 as a “Top 40 under 40” by Snow College, where she originally began her college education.

Continuous education and learning have always played an important role in Julie’s career. She has enjoyed returning to the University of Utah Doctorate Program many times as a guest lecturer.  Julie is nationally certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, and the Utah Association of Nurse Practitioners.

 Julie has a broad level of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.  Her prior work experience includes working in intensive care units, the emergency room, trauma service, and oculofacial plastic surgery. She has several years of experience in facial aesthetics, is certified in injectables, and has certificates in both erbium and CO2 facial resurfacing lasers. Julie is proficient in bioidentical hormone replacement and holds an advanced certification by the Academy of Preventative and Innovative Medicine.

Julie loves spending time with her husband and three children. She has a passion for adventure, traveling and experiencing new things.  She also enjoys running, hiking, snowshoeing, tennis, skiing and anything outdoors.
